Being the founder of his own small consulting firm in South Africa, he has over 21 years of business consulting and training delivery experience. He is also an independent Senior Consultant with DuPont Sustainable Solutions (DSS) and Lead Consultant for Status Aviation. Pieter holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree (Industrial Psychology and Business Economics) and 2 postgraduate degrees, a BCom Honours in Organisational Development and Change Management, and a Masters in Business Leadership (MBL).

As a change management and competency improvement consultant, Pieter’s areas of specialisation include project management, business analysis, diagnostic and research-based assignments, process engineering, systems development, training, coaching and behaviour change implementation.

Having consulted in almost all industries he has wide-ranging experience and knowledge of large mining operations in the gold, platinum, coal, copper, lead, zinc and diamond mining fraternities. He is also experienced in operational aviation management, as an Air Traffic and Mission Controller. His more recent consulting assignments have been performed at Air Traffic Navigation Services (ATNS), Basil Read (St Helena Isl.), Ma’aden Gold (Int.), Hindustan Zink (Int.), Goldfields (Int. & RSA), Glencore (Int. & RSA), Wits Health Consortium (WHC), and Impala Platinum. Internationally, he has delivered projects in countries such as Saudi Arabia, Kazakhstan, Peru, Brazil, Zambia, Australia, India, Ghana, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Namibia, Mozambique and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

He is an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) with the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and has earned accredited life and business coach status with DuPont Safety Solutions. He is also a certified practitioner, facilitator and coach using the NBI® (Neethling Brain Instruments) Thinking Preference Profiles.

Pieter has lectured at The Graduate Institute of Management and Technology (GIMT) and The LR Group. Subjects taught include Travel Agency Management and Entrepreneurship. He also teaches Business Strategy, Leadership, Change Management, Business Management, Safety Management and Information Communication Technology. More recently he has been facilitating part-time at The Da Vinci Institute for the Management of Technology and Innovation (MOTI), in the following subjects: Change Management, Creativity, Coaching, Entrepreneurship, Human Resources Management, Organisation Behaviour, Research and all Aviation Management modules.
